Scrapbook

You had a great RV vacation this summer, and the photos are loaded onto your computer or CD.  Now what?  Not everyone has the time or inclination to make scrapbooks (and I say that from a personal point of view!), but there are other options out there that allow you to make an album of that special trip.  And the great thing is that you don’t have to be particularly computer-savvy, either (again, speaking from personal experience!).

There are numerous websites that allow you to make a professional-looking photo book online.  After downloading their software, you add your own text, arrange photos in any order you’d like, and then play with the photo layout and page designs.  A nice feature is the ability to save your work and come back later to finish it up.  Or, if that sounds like too much work, some sites auto-fill the album and you just add the finishing touches to customize your book.  You can add text and personalize everything from the background of the pages, to the font, to the color and type of cover you’d like.   Depending on what you choose – softcover vs. hardcover, size of album, and number of pages – the price starts at around $10.  Some sites that are easy to navigate are shutterfly.com, kodakgallery, com, blurb.com, and snapfish.com.  And if you own a Mac, don’t despair.  You can easily make your iPhoto album on the Apple iLife suite (apple.com), or Smilebox.com.

So, take a little time and make your very own photo book so you can share those great memories!  You’ll have so much time left over that you can start planning NEXT year’s vacation.  And if you’d like to make your next RV trip as easy as your photo book was, give one of our trip consultants a call (800-247-0970).
