Calgary RV Vacation

About Calgary

Calgary is huge and sprawling, so if you plan on doing much sight-seeing in the city, you’ll need to give yourselves enough time to get around. You’re likely going to want to get on the road to one of the nearby parks, but there are some things to see while you’re in the city, including the greatest outdoor show on earth!

The Calgary Tower allows you see the whole city from more than 600 feet up, and there’s a revolving restaurant at the top for a unique dining experience. This is one of the city’s top attractions and when the weather’s clear the views out to the Rockies are quite something! Fort Calgary is another popular attraction – this historic site is informative and fun for the kids too. More sights that are suitable for a family vacation include the Calgary Zoo and the Telus Science Center.

For the biggest event in the city, try to schedule your vacation during the Calgary Stampede. The self-proclaimed “Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth” brings in more than a million visitors each year, who come to see the rodeos, stage shows, and chuckwagon races. The festival takes over the whole city in one way or another, and shouldn’t be missed if you’re coming to town in early July.

Interesting Facts About Calgary
