Moab, Utah RV Vacation

About Moab, Utah

The town of Moab, Utah makes a perfect base camp for exploring Canyon Country. Arches National Park is just a short hop outside of town, and Canyonlands National Park is not much farther away. Together, these two parks offer days and days of outdoor fun. You could easily spend an entire vacation here.

Arches National Park is known for its astounding sandstone formations. You will see dozens of free-standing, wind-carved spans of rock as well as large red “fins” of stone that seem to burst out of the ground. In all, there are more than 2,000 named arches in the park, so don’t plan on photographing them all!

A trip out to Canyonlands National Park will reward you with a mix of easy or difficult wilderness trails through a number of canyons and steep gorges. The sandstone is gorgeous, so plan on taking plenty of sunset photos. The Colorado River flows through the park, offering up everything from the family-friendly “Daily Run” just outside the park to serious whitewater action through Cataract Canyon for those with extra time.

And if all that weren’t enough to do while in Moab, there is almost an endless supply of Jeep trails around the town. If you want to try your hand at some off-roading, we can make sure you get a vehicle sturdy enough to take you through some of the wild rides. For serious Jeep enthusiasts, there is an annual Jeep Safari that you might want to fit into your vacation schedule. And if motorized off-roading isn’t your thing, keep in mind that this is mountain biking capital of the world.

Some other Moab activities that we can get set up for you include horseback riding and ziplining. For a little quieter down-time, check out the geology museum in Moab and learn a little about the area. There are also plenty of restaurants here covering a surprising range of culinary options. Really, there is something in Moab for the whole family.
