Mary grew up on the east coast but quit her job and drove west in 1992, ending up in Colorado where she’s been ever since. She now lives in Montrose with husband Dan, her two teenage sons, two cats and one dog. Mary holds a BA in French Civilization from Princeton University, an MA in History from East Stroudsburg University, an MSW in Clinical Practice from Boston University, and an M.Ed. in Special Education from Boston University.
Prior to joining the Tracks & Trails team, Mary worked in education for 30 years as a social worker, teacher, and school counselor. She is thrilled with her second career of helping folks connect with nature and the people they love through national park RV vacations. Currently, Mary manages the Tracks & Trails team, spearheads sales, and practices her trip wizardry daily.
Throughout Mary’s childhood, western European travel complemented family camping trips in the southwestern U.S. and led to adult exploration of the U.S. and Canadian national parks. Belize, Colombia, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands are more recent adventures. She loves introducing her children to the joy and wonder of exploring new places in nature and culture. Mary’s “still to visit” list is long, and when she is not planning her (or your) travels, you can find her hiking, backpacking, skiing, reading, or playing in water.
