Overview of this RV Trip to Death Valley, Joshua Tree & Lake Havasu

Explore the majestic Mojave Desert in California, Nevada, and Arizona. Leave the bright lights of Las Vegas and head west to explore the otherworldly landscape of Death Valley National Park. Next, visit the Mojave National Preserve for incredible desert views, then it’s on to Joshua Tree National Park to see the famous trees, other desert flora, and unique rock formations. From here, drive east to Lake Havasu. Explore all the lake has to offer, then spend the night in a nearby state park. Finish your trip in the Valley of Fire, exploring the fiery red rocks and petroglyphs.

Fly into Las Vegas and check into your hotel, then take a walk down the Strip to see the lights and have dinner before turning in.
Las Vegas to Death Valley: 125 miles


Death Valley National Park – 2 nights
Explore the incredible landscape of salt flats, canyons, dunes, and mountains. Add a jeep tour or horseback ride to venture deeper into the park.
Death Valley to Mojave: 215 miles


Mojave National Preserve – 1 night
Visit this stark and beautiful expanse of rugged California desert for some remote wilderness exploration.
Mojave to Joshua Tree: 120 miles


Joshua Tree National Park – 2 nights
Hike and climb through unique rock formations at this ecological crossroads, where the high Mojave Desert meets the low Colorado Desert. At night, wrap up and head out to experience incredible stargazing.

Lake Havasu Sunset Boat Tour – 1 hour

Experience a Lake Havasu sunset aboard the Dixie Belle paddle-wheeler. Custom-built in 1983, the Dixie Belle seats 131 guests. The boat is climate-controlled indoors and has outdoor decks, allowing you to view the surrounding scenic beauty in comfort. The crew will provide commentary on Lake Havasu landmarks, and the on-board bar offers drinks and snacks for purchase.
