Take a guided Athabasca Glacier hike and explore the ice features on the lower glacier. Enjoy superb views of the Canadian Rockies while seeing deep crevasses and waterfalls that cascade into the depths of the ice.
Your hiking group (max.12 people) will take a short shuttle ride to the trailhead and then hike a varied and briefly steep trail (around 45 mins) to access the glacier. Throughout the trip, your knowledgeable guide will make several short stops to discuss how glaciers form, move, and modify the surrounding landscape, as well as explain the unique ice features seen along the way.
The walk will take around 3 hours and you will cover approximately 3 miles. There will be plenty of photo opportunities along the way!
