Overview

Take the incredible Beartooth Highway scenic drive from Billings, Montana into Yellowstone National Park. Spend a few days in the park watching wildlife, horseback riding, geyser gazing and touring with your own private guide for a day. Try biking, rafting, and fly fishing in the Grand Tetons. Visit the charming western town of Jackson, Wyoming and take in the rodeo action. Return to Billings following the Yellowstone River.

Itinerary

Billings – 1 night
Billings is the starting point of the Beartooth Highway, a scenic drive that leads to Yellowstone National Park.
Billings to Cooke City: 110 miles


Cooke City – 1 night
Drive over the Beartooth Scenic Highway and stop in Cooke City before you enter Yellowstone.
Cooke City to Yellowstone: 100 miles


Yellowstone National Park (Western park area)- 2 nights
Yellowstone is the place to see abundant wildlife on a guided private tour, and to marvel at the other-worldly geysers and hot pools.
Yellowstone to Grand Teton: 70 miles


Grand Teton National Park – 2 nights
The Grand Tetons are the perfect backdrop for biking, rafting whitewater rapids, canoeing serene Jenny Lake, or fly fishing.
Grand Teton to Jackson: 40 miles


Jackson – 1 night
The western town of Jackson blends the cowboy culture of the old west with upscale shopping, art galleries and museums. Head to the rodeo or ride the Alpine Slide!
Jackson to Yellowstone: 120 miles


Yellowstone National Park (Eastern park area)- 2 nights
In this part of the Park, explore the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.
Yellowstone to Cody: 100 miles


Cody – 1 night
Spend your last night in Cody.  This modern-day cowboy town lets everyone experience the Old West with its combination of historical attractions, rodeos, museums, shopping and dining.  Don your cowboy hat and boots!
Cody to Billings: 120 miles


Billings – Return to Billings to catch your flight out.
