Antelope Canyon RV Vacation

About Antelope Canyon

Located on land belonging to the LeChee chapter of the Navajo Nation, near Page, Arizona, Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon formed over the course of hundreds of years by water running through sandstone. It is known by the Navajo as Tsé bighánílíní, meaning “the place where water runs through rocks”. To protect and preserve this natural wonder, and to ensure respectful visitation of this sacred Navajo site, the only way to access the canyon is through a guided tour that we will book for you.

The canyon is split into six slot canyon sections. Upper Antelope Canyon (also referred to as The Crack), Lower Antelope Canyon (also referred to as The Corkscrew), then Rattle Snake Canyon, Owl Canyon, Mountain Sheep Canyon, and Canyon X.

Upper Antelope Canyon, at an elevation of about 4,000 feet and with walls that rise 120 feet above its streambed, is the most accessible and popular to visit. The sunlight here beams through from the canyon’s openings above, swirling and illuminating the sandstone walls in hues of pink, orange, and gold. The magical and colorful effect this creates is beautiful, and for this reason, Upper Antelope Canyon is the most photographed slot canyon in the American Southwest!
