Glenwood Springs RV Vacation

About Glenwood Springs

For anyone who loves water sports, a tour through Glenwood Springs is a must. With both the Colorado River and the Roaring Fork River coming together in this scenic valley, there are loads of opportunities to get out on the water.

Kayaking and white-water rafting are the most popular ways of enjoying the rivers, though you can’t forget fly-fishing trips either. Don’t worry about finding boats or equipment, we can get all the details worked out for you.

Prefer something a bit more laid back? Take a relaxing soak in the hot spring pool that gave the town its name. It’s actually the largest hot spring pool in the world and is great when the weather’s not too hot. The heat and minerals make it invigorating for mind, body and soul.

If that’s not enough for you to do on your vacation, take a tram-ride up Iron Mountain for a tour of the Glenwood Caverns. Not only can you explore the limestone caves and see some amazing cavern formations, there are tours for the whole family. The basic tours are fairly easy, but the adventure tours are for anyone who wants to get down and dirty while squirming through the caves. You will also find Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park here, a theme park at an altitude of 7,100 ft! It has roller coasters, a giant swing, zipline, an alpine coaster, a 4D Motion theater, laser tag, and more!

You can also enjoy the mountainous outdoors on one of the walking and biking trails that stretches through Glenwood Canyon. You’ll get views of the Colorado River on one side, and the impressive canyon walls on the other, or hike through the nearby White River National Forest for a change in scenery.

Glenwood Springs has great shopping and restaurants too. Be sure to grab lunch or dinner at one of our favorites, the Italian Underground or Smoke Modern Barbeque near the Hwy 82 bridge.
