About Monterey, CA
Monterey Bay Aquarium is one of the city’s top attractions and always gets good reviews with its 35,000 different plants and animals from 623 species, but if you’d rather be on the water than admiring it through glass you’ll find a little more adventure is possible in Monterey too. A fun kayaking tour on the estuary or Monterey Bay comes highly recommended! You’ll see plenty of beautiful scenery along the shoreline and the chances are good for seeing wildlife such as sea lions, and even the rare sea otter.
To get further out into the ocean for the chance to see whales and dolphins we’d be happy to arrange a half day whale watching tour from Monterey for your whole family. This is an excellent place for a whale watching tour and though sightings are never guaranteed the chances of seeing marine life here are very good.
Back on dry land Fisherman’s Wharf is another of Monterey’s popular sights. This is the place to go for a seafood dinner plus an abundance of small gift shops selling everything from souvenirs to candy, to jewelry to art. The kids will love the candy stores for sure! The historical center of Monterey is just at the entrance to the Wharf, so look for the interesting old buildings and other attractions like the Monterey Maritime Museum.
Whether you want to go kayaking or whale watching, we can make all the arrangements for non-stop fun on your family vacation!
