Explore the most photographed slot canyon in the American Southwest! Located on land belonging to the Navajo Nation, Antelope Canyon is known by the Navajo as “the place where water runs through rocks,” and was formed over the course of hundreds of years by water running through sandstone. The upper part of the canyon is at an elevation of about 4,000 feet, with walls that rise 120 feet above its streambed. Antelope Canyon can only be accessed through a guided tour that will take you into this wonderous slot canyon that has exceptional light. The sunlight filters down from above, swirls and illuminates the sandstone walls, providing a beautiful palette of colors and a magical experience! Your guide will share some history with you, take you on a hike around the canyon, and point out all the best photography opportunities.
